Customer Background
Challenges
What was wrong with EngSoon's previous system?
The technology EngSoon relied on was outdated and awkward to operate, and its modules were siloed so they did not share data with one another. Every question that crossed two modules turned into a manual lookup.
Why did incomplete data visibility keep causing problems?
Data visibility was limited and incomplete, which produced recurring issues rather than one-off errors. The accounts receivable section in particular lacked the information needed to trace a customer account back through its history.
Why was financial reconciliation so slow?
Finance and inventory ran on separate systems, so the two had to be reconciled by hand. Erroneous entries made that reconciliation difficult and slowed the whole accounting process, which is time the finance team spends checking rather than closing.
After using Fleetnetics
QR code scanning replaced manual entry, which reduced human error and sped up daily handling.
Inventory now runs on a single platform instead of across siloed systems reconciled by hand
The accounts receivable system filters and traces customers and assists with payment.
The quotation system shortened the price quotation procedure.
Excel import and export moves data in and out of the system without re-keying it.
